Food Pantry
We continue to provide food for our community at our food pantry every Wednesday from 9:00am to 11:00am. While helping to meet the tangible need of food, this outreach also allows us to make new and ongoing contacts with members of our community and ask how we can pray for them.
Worship At the Villas
Once a month we lead worship at one of our local nursing homes. This community is not always able to get out and attend church service so being able to go and worship along side them is such a blessing to both us and them. We also have a ladies bible study that happens once a week at this nursing home that our members lead.
Clean up Streator
A few times a year we select a section of Streator that we go and clean up. Some times this means picking up trash along the road, and others it might be pulling weeds at a local school. This is just one of the ways we want to get out and serve our community.
Laundry Day
A few times a year we hang out at local laundromats and pay for laundry services for anyone that stops by. Not only does this meet a tangible need for those that we serve, but it also gives us an opportunity to talk with and pray for those that we meet.
Lake Day
Each summer we enjoy getting to provide a free lake day at Streator Baptist Camp. This is open to anyone, and has swimming, fishing, waterslide, boat rides, and snow cones.
Summer Picnics
Summer picnics are a great way for us to get to know our neighbors better, and for us to invite the community to come fellowship with us in a casual fun way. 6- 8 times each summer we plan a picnic on the church lawn, we have food, games, and fellowship for all that attend.
